Gorillas and Chimpanzee Trekking
This Gorillas and Chimpanzee Trekking safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will have a chance to trek one of the habituated mountain gorilla families and take back memories and then takes you to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking and Habituation.

Itinerary
After Breakfast, you will drive to drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Rushaga or Ruhija sections in Uganda. The Driver will make stop over at the Equator for photography and lunch enroute. Rushaga section is found in the southern sector of Bwindi impenetrable National park, the park known in the history of Tourism for protecting the endangered species of animals the ‘mountain Gorillas’. The park is a heritage to the popular mountain Gorillas left in the wild ,these wild apes inhabiting this park are recorded to be over 400 in number and the Rushaga sector is one of the region with the biggest number of Gorilla families ‘five in total’ . While driving to this region, you will be thrilled with an amazing experience of the topography made of hills, valleys and the beautiful sceneries of Virunga, Mgahinga and Muhavura mountains though from a distance to Rushaga or Ruhija sections of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an overnight.

After your early morning breakfast, your guide will drive you to Ruhija or Rushaga Park headquarters for briefing and join others for gorilla trekking. You will start your trek which can take from 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the location of mountain gorillas on that particular day. Once you have found them, you will be around one hour of observation and photography before returning back to the park headquarters for certificate awarding and overnight at the lodge.

After Breakfast, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park for Chimpanzee Trekking experience. Kibale Forest National Park contains about 70 mammals specifies including 13 species of primate such as mangabey monkeys, olive baboon monkey, Blue monkeys, Black and white Colobus monkeys, Red colobus monkeys, L’Hoests’ monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, the grey vervet monkey and chimpanzees. The forest is a natural environment much like the western Africa lowlands forests as well as Afro-Montana. Other than primates you will find 351 shrubs plus tree species, butterflies, 375 bird species as well as other mammals. You will arrive at the hotel to freshen up and have a rest in preparation for the next day’s chimpanzee trekking.

After the early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking Dos and Don’ts. You will then begin your guided chimpanzee trekking.
After locating the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour with the primates however for chimpanzee habituation, you can even spend a full day. During this walk you will have chances of seeing many of the 13 primate species native to Kibale Forest National Park. After lunch you will drive to Bigodi for a swamp walk. This wetland belongs to community neighboring the park.
